How to record your walkthrough
We recommend Loom: it’s free, records your screen with your face in a little bubble in the corner, and gives you a link the second you stop. No file to upload.
Before you hit record
- Publish first. In Lovable, click Publish (top right), then use the link that ends in .lovable.app. The lovable.dev link only works for you.
- Open the live link in a fresh browser window and close everything else: email, texts, other tabs.
- Silence notifications. Mac: Control Center → Focus → Do Not Disturb. Windows: click the clock → Do not disturb.
- Zoom the browser to 125% (⌘/Ctrl + +) so it reads on a projector.
Record with Loom

Install Loom
Go to loom.com/download, download the Mac app, open the file and drag Loom into Applications. Open it and sign up free (“Continue with Google” is fastest).

Allow screen, camera and mic
Your Mac will ask to let Loom use the screen, camera and microphone. Say yes to all three. If it sends you to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording, switch Loom on, then quit Loom and open it again.

Start recording
Click the Loom icon in the menu bar at the top right of your screen. Choose Screen and Camera, pick Full Screen, check your camera and microphone are the right ones, then Start Recording.

Present (2–3 minutes)
Follow the four beats under “What to say”. Talk like you’re showing a friend, not reading a script. Keep it under 5 minutes — that’s where Loom’s free plan stops recording.

Stop
Click the red stop button on Loom’s little control bar, or press ⌥ Option + ⇧ Shift + L.

Copy your link
Loom opens your video in the browser and copies the link for you. Paste it into the form below. That’s it.
On a Chromebook, or can’t install apps on a work laptop? Add the Loom extension for Chrome instead — same steps, it lives next to your address bar.
No Loom? Use the Mac’s built-in recorder
- Press ⇧ Shift + ⌘ Cmd + 5.
- Click Options and pick your Microphone (it’s set to None by default, so you’d record silence).
- Choose Record Entire Screen, then click Record.
- Want your face in it? Open Photo Booth first and shrink its window into a corner.
- Stop with the ■ button in the menu bar. The video lands on your Desktop as a .mov file — upload it in the form below.

Install Loom

- Windows 11: open Snipping Tool and press ⊞ Win + Shift + R, then drag across the whole screen.
- Turn on the microphone button in the toolbar, then click Start.
- Want your face in it? Open the Camera app first and shrink its window into a corner.
- Click the red Stop button. Save it (it goes to Videos › Screen Recordings as an .mp4) and upload it in the form below.
- Windows 10: press ⊞ Win + Alt + R to record the browser window with Xbox Game Bar. Files land in Videos › Captures.
